Corporate Social Investment

RoyalMnandi recognises and supports the Government's vision of uplifting and educating poor and disadvantaged communities in South Africa.

The company has, and still is, making contributions towards a number of programmes and projects which make a real and tangible difference to the lives of those who rely on the kindness and financial support of others. The company, however, endeavours to direct its investment to projects which are sustainable and which contribute to creating an infrastructure which would assist these communities in providing for themselves in the long term.

Current Programmes

Vastfontein

Vastfontein, which is situated north of Tshwane, is one such programme and focuses on educating the community and more specifically, its children. Again, focus is on creating an infrastructure which would make a high standard of schooling and education possible for these children and which would prepare the youth of this community adequately for any tertiary education or future job opportunities.

This programme is aimed at improving social and moral standards by focusing on the children and youth in this community and the surrounding townships. The school already has three classrooms with the objective of adding one classroom every year. 42 children attend the pre-school classes every day and are fed two meals a day.

Ditshego House of Laughter

Ditshego House of Laughter is an initiative managed by the Methodist Church. The house has been set up for the sole purpose of caring for HIV/AIDS orphans and children infected with the virus. The house provides a homely environment with a caring house mother who is trained to care for HIV/AIDS infected children.

RoyalMnandi sponsors the meals for these children and considers it a privilege to be able to make a worthy contribution to these children's lives.
